Each chapter introduces one new word and one new phrase that uses that word. The new word is the only one in the phrase students will not have encountered already. Each new word is used in two or three consecutive phrases. All chapters include a reading task, as well as activities, puzzles and games to practice the words and phrases students have learned up to that point.  The teacher's guides contain supplementary vocabulary and reading exercises and review tests.
